Pursuing my passion
Day's End

"Day's End" 18 x 24
The fall colors in southern Colorado were the main draw for painting that day, but as the sun set the sky was ablaze with peach, purple and blue hues. I inhaled the crisp clean air as I challenged my brain to remember the mood and feel of this moment as the sun set since I knew the photos would drop important details.
I used several photos to create this painting and removed a small travel trailer from the scene. I inserted a barn in its place for a more rustic feel. Instead of the contrail present in the sky I choose to place the moon to complete the peaceful end to a wonderful day of painting.
May you have a very Happy New Year, full of blessings, good health, and awesome art!
