Pursuing my passion

The show opening is Saturday evening, Sept. 14. The show will be open to the public Sept. 15-28 - also new this year, purchases may be made through their website. https://www.bosqueartscenter.org/Gallery.aspx?module=imglist&gid=13&cat=Oil/Acrylic or by calling Jane Scott at 254-675-3724. It's always such a great show and lots of fun to meet new artists and collectors and to get the chance to visit with those I already know! Drop by and see the show if you can! I'll have three pieces: "Tatanka" 20" x 20", "Trails Gone Cold" 22" x 28" and "Wild River Crossing" 18" x 24".

The AWA (American Women Artists) signature and master members' show will be at R.S. Hanna Gallery in Fredericksburg, TX. The show will be up Oct. 21 - Dec. 7. This is such a beautiful area of Texas, so drop by if you are able and see this outstanding show! "Apache" 16" x 12"

Just a few moments ago I got an email informing me that both my entries were accepted into the 34th American Plains Artists (APA) show. This year it will be at the wonderful Pearce Museum in Corsicana, TX.I've heard their permanent collection is awesome, so I look forward to visiting for the first time myself! The show opens Oct. 10 and will be up until Jan. 4, 2020. Please come by and see this amazing show! My paintings will be: "Noble Quest" 36" x 24" (WON 3rd PLACE) and "Winding Down" 12" x 16"

Below are a couple of paintings I have recently finished. I'm not sure where they will be heading yet. "Keeping Vigil" 36" x 24" was a fun one to work on trying to create a sense of danger with the storm clouds moving in and the concerned look on this Apache's face. But in the midst of the possible danger, I wanted him surrounded by the beauty of nature. After working on this more dramatic piece I was ready to switch it up and paint "happy" - sunshine and innocence. See if you can find the critter I added at the last moment in "Summer's Bounty" 28" x 22".

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out what's been coming off the easel and other happenings - very much appreciated!!
