Pursuing my passion

As I have developed an interest in western art, I've noticed more of a desire to improve my figurative work. I mainly did landscapes for several years and missed painting the figure.

To resolve that I've been going to a 3 hr. weekly model group - most times the model is just there for that one week, but occasionally we have the same pose for a couple of weeks or longer. It allows me to paint on a larger canvas and include more of the background or figure than I would be able to do in a one week session.

I'm learning more and more each week that will hopefully translate to my other art. I'll post a few recent works from these weekly sessions...nothing like drawing or painting from life so very thankful for the opportunity!
