"Living Waters" depicts a Cheyenne woman down at the river collecting water for her daily use. The tin coffee pot and containers for gathering water were typical around the 1860's - 70's time period. The barrel had a hole on the top for filling and rawhide straps on each end for handles - usually it would take two women to carry the barrel once full.
